At Hoop, we're passionate about making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. This year, we're taking a fresh approach to our charitable giving by focusing on a cause rather than supporting a single charity. By doing so, we can extend our impact across multiple organisations and reach more people who need support.

We're proud to announce that Homelessness has been chosen as our Charity Focus of the Year.

Homelessness is a complex issue that affects individuals, families, and communities across Wales and the wider UK. While access to safe and secure housing is a fundamental need, many people experiencing homelessness also face barriers to employment, confidence, and long-term independence. Addressing these challenges requires a collective effort, and we believe our expertise places us in a unique position to help.

Throughout the year, we'll be partnering with a range of charities and community organisations that support people experiencing homelessness. Rather than simply raising funds, we'll be offering practical, skills-based support designed to create lasting opportunities. This will include CV writing workshops, interview preparation sessions, career guidance, and confidence-building activities, helping individuals take important steps towards employment and greater financial independence.

As a recruitment business, we understand the life-changing impact that meaningful employment can have. A job can provide stability, purpose, confidence, and a pathway towards a brighter future. By sharing our knowledge and connecting people with opportunities, we hope to make a positive contribution to the incredible work already being carried out by homelessness charities across Wales.

This year's focus is particularly significant as it aligns closely with the launch of our newest specialist division, Hoop Housing.

Hoop Housing has been established to support organisations working across the housing sector, including housing associations, local authorities, supported accommodation providers, and charitable organisations. Every day, our dedicated team works alongside professionals who are committed to ensuring people have access to safe, stable homes and the support they need to thrive.

Through the development of Hoop Housing, we've gained an even deeper understanding of the challenges facing the sector and the vital role housing plays in creating long-term wellbeing. We've also seen first-hand how closely housing and employment are connected. Having a secure home often provides the foundation people need to pursue work opportunities, build confidence, and establish independence. Equally, access to employment can be a crucial factor in helping individuals maintain stable housing and improve their quality of life.

Supporting homelessness as our Charity Focus of the Year therefore felt like a natural and meaningful choice. It reflects both our values as a business and the work we do every day through Hoop Housing.

Over the coming months, we'll be sharing updates on our partnerships, volunteering initiatives, fundraising activities, and community projects. We look forward to working alongside charities, housing providers, clients, and colleagues to help create positive change and support people on their journey towards stability and independence.

Together, we can help build brighter futures, one opportunity at a time.
