Youth Engagement Partner

This position is a permanent and part time opportunity; it is fully onsite based in Merthyr Tydfil with some flexibility to work from home for developing sessions and comes with a salary of up to £27,000 (pro rata). Evening work will be required as part of the engagement programme. Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver exciting youth engagement activities.
- Support the development and delivery of events, workshops, and projects that promote inclusion, creativity, and personal development.
- Build strong and positive relationships with young people and encourage participation in programmes that help their progression.
- Collaborate with different organisations and the community to create opportunities.
- Help shape the youth engagement strategy by sharing ideas and feedback based on real experiences.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to monitor progress and evaluate the impact of activities.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the work.
- Provide relevant advice and guidance ensuring they can access the support they need.
- Previous experience in youth work, community engagement, education, or a similar role.
- DBS Check.
- Knowledge of safeguarding.
- Level 3 Youth Work Qualification (or willing to work towards)
- Excellent communication and listening skills, able to engage, inspire, and build trust.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to use your initiative.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for working with young people and supporting communities.
