Job Description
Hoop PS & HR are thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Assessor on behalf of one of or valued cleints within the training industry. This full-time (35 hours), permanent role is based at the Cardiff, offering a salary of £24,638–£25,709.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting learners to develop their skills while working towards their Assessor qualification. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality training, visit learners in the workplace to carry out assessments, and play a key role in supporting positive learner outcomes while upholding the organisation’s quality standards.

Duties
- Deliver engaging training sessions and workplace assessments to assigned learners.
- Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs).
- Reference, assess and mark learner evidence against qualification requirements.
- Maintain accurate attendance, progress and audit records.
- Facilitate tests and support day-release training where required.
- Ensure compliance with Award Body regulations and internal quality processes.
- Build strong relationships with employers and identify potential opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop training materials and improve delivery.
- Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, lone working and organisational policies.
- Meet agreed performance targets and KPIs
- Occupational experience within the Children & Young People sector.
- Willingness to work towards an Assessor Award (e.g., CAVA).
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- IT literate with good record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and Prevent.
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently.
- Flexible, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure.
- Experience delivering training or apprenticeships.
- Experience within Work Based Learning.
- Understanding of Award Body practices.
- CAVA/TAQA or equivalent Assessor qualification.
- ESW Communication or Application of Number Level 2.
- Ability to communicate in Welsh.
