iTrent Systems Specialist (Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Newport (Flexible Hybrid Working)
Contract: Fixed-term until 31st May 2026
Salary: £39,199 per annum + competitive benefits
Hoop Professional Services & HR are proud to be partnering with a highly regarded organisation in Newport, urgently seeking an iTrent Systems Specialist to join their People Services team. This role offers flexible hybrid working, with just two in-person connect days per month in Newport - and the potential for remote working for the right candidate.
This is a key role within an exciting HR systems transformation project, following a recent transformation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in the transition to iTrent as the preferred platform, working closely with the People Systems Lead to deliver critical projects including:

This is a key role within an exciting HR systems transformation project, following a recent transformation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in the transition to iTrent as the preferred platform, working closely with the People Systems Lead to deliver critical projects including:
- Data migration from legacy systems
- System harmonisation and configuration
- Implementation of new system modules
- Development of enhanced self-service functionalities
- Lead the migration of employee data from legacy systems to iTrent
- Configure system workflows, batch processing, and reporting functions
- Manage technical aspects of system upgrades and module implementations
- Develop enhanced system functionalities such as e-signatures and self-service sickness reporting
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support to the HR team
- Support system readiness for the integration of colleagues from the recent merger
- Deep technical expertise in iTrent, including workflows, batch processing, upgrades, and data conversion
- Proven experience delivering HR system data migration projects
- Strong understanding of iTrent system backend functionality
- Power BI experience is desirable but not essential
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to technical challenges
- The ability to work independently and manage system projects to deadlines
