Credit Controller
Cardiff | Hybrid Working
£27,000 – £30,000
We’re delighted to be supporting a well-established professional services organisation in Cardiff with the appointment of a Credit Controller to join their highly regarded finance team.
This is a replacement role within a stable, long-standing team, offering a genuinely supportive environment and the opportunity to step into a position where relationships, collaboration and professionalism are at the heart of the role.
This is not a traditional credit control position.
There is no high-volume chasing or target-driven approach. Instead, this role is centred around building trusted relationships and working collaboratively to manage and resolve outstanding debt.
You’ll work closely with both internal stakeholders and external clients, taking a considered, diplomatic approach to credit control, ensuring that relationships are maintained while supporting effective cash flow.

You’ll work closely with both internal stakeholders and external clients, taking a considered, diplomatic approach to credit control, ensuring that relationships are maintained while supporting effective cash flow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing aged debt in a relationship-led, professional manner
- Building strong working relationships across the business and with clients
- Investigating and resolving billing queries in collaboration with partners
- Supporting internal teams with financial queries and insight
- Using Excel and internal systems (including Liberate) to manage and track accounts
- Previous experience within Credit Control or a similar finance role
- A confident communicator who can build credibility with stakeholders
- A thoughtful, solutions-focused approach (rather than aggressive chasing)
- Strong attention to detail and investigative skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial systems
- Hybrid working (typically office-based Tuesday & Wednesday)
- Rotational hours between 8:30am – 5:30pm
