Hoop Education is currently looking for adaptable and motivated individuals to work as ALN Teaching Assistants in schools across Neath. With access to a variety of placements, including settings with dedicated Additional Learning Needs (ALN) provision, this role offers valuable exposure to different learning environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for those starting out in education or looking to transition into a school-based role.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils who require additional help to access learning. Responsibilities will include:
- Providing classroom support to pupils with ALN
- Working closely with teaching staff to implement support strategies
- Supporting individuals or small groups during lessons
- Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and confidence
- Assisting in both mainstream classes and specialist ALN settings
Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Committed to supporting children with additional learning needs
- Calm, patient, and adaptable in a classroom environment
- Strong communicators who can work effectively within a team
- Reliable and professional in their approach
Previous experience or knowledge of ALN is beneficial, but not essential. Training options are available prior to placement.
