Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Primary & Secondary
Location: Powys
Salary: £92.56 per day
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Supply / Temporary
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support both primary and secondary schools across Powys. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a positive impact on students’ learning and development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support classroom learning, help pupils stay engaged, and provide additional support where needed. Roles may involve supporting individuals, small groups, or assisting with whole-class activities.
This role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates considering a career in education, or individuals with experience working with children or young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging classroom activities
- Assist pupils with their learning on a one-to-one or small group basis
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support classroom behaviour management
- Assist with preparing learning materials and classroom resources
- Provide additional support to pupils who require extra help
Requirements
- A passion for working with children and supporting learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
- Right to work in the UK
