The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support, particularly with pupils who have additional learning needs.
- Assisting with lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Helping prepare learning materials and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion for all learners.
- Monitoring pupil progress and sharing feedback with teachers and parents.
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and school teams.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Experience supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 or group basis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant childcare or education qualifications (desirable but not essential).
