Job Description
Role Overview
Hoop Education are seeking reliable and professional Exam Invigilators within the Vale of Glamorgan area to support schools and colleges during examination periods. Exam Invigilators play a vital role in ensuring examinations are conducted in line with awarding body regulations, maintaining a calm, fair, and secure environment for all candidates.
Key Responsibilities

Set up examination rooms in accordance with exam requirements (seating arrangements, notices, materials).

Ensure exam conditions are maintained throughout the examination.

Distribute and collect examination papers and materials.

Supervise candidates to prevent malpractice and ensure compliance with exam regulations.

Respond appropriately to candidate queries, referring issues to the Lead Invigilator when necessary.

Escort candidates to and from the examination room when required.

Deal with any incidents or irregularities calmly and in line with procedures.

Complete required documentation accurately and report any concerns to the examinations officer.

Assist with the secure collection and return of exam materials at the end of each session.

Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Requirements

Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS (or hold a valid DBS).
