About the Role

We are currently recruiting reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Powys. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of a regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with the work set and maintain a positive learning environment.

This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced classroom support staff, or individuals with strong communication and leadership skills who are passionate about working with children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences
• Ensure students remain on task with the work provided
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement
• Support the overall learning environment of the school

Requirements

• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confidence managing and engaging groups of young people
• Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
• A flexible and professional attitude
• Right to work in the UK
