Primary School Teaching Assistant – ALN/SEN Support
Locations: Llanelli | Ammanford | Carmarthen (Carmarthenshire)
Hours: Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunities Available

We are looking for dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistants to join our friendly school communities across Llanelli, Ammanford, and Carmarthen. You’ll be working with pupils aged 3–11, supporting those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting pupils with ALN/SEN to access learning and develop confidence.
- 1:1 support & small class environment.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive activities.
- Creating a positive, nurturing environment for every child.
- Helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a school setting OR experience supporting children/young people in similar roles such as:
- Sports coaching
- Care/Support work
- Youth work
- Babysitting
- References (must be obtainable).
- A genuine passion for working with children!
Essential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS – already in place or willing to obtain. (£61.50 for a new DBS, Once 10 shifts are completed you will get a full refund on DBS)
EWC registration – mandatory (again, must already have or be willing to apply £15 to register a Teaching Assistant).
