Social Worker – Winter Ward (Extra Capacity)

Monmouthshire County Council has opened a second Winter Ward in Chepstow Community Hospital to support increased capacity over the winter period, and we’re now looking for 1 experienced Social Worker to join the team.

This role has been created specifically to support winter pressures, working at pace to help people move safely through hospital and into the right support as quickly as possible. 

The role:

• Based on the Winter Ward in Chepstow

• Supporting discharge planning and flow

• Working closely with health colleagues and wider MDTs

• Fast-paced, solutions-focused work

• Fully on-site due to the nature of the service

Contract details:

• Full-time agency role

• Expected until end of March

• Review point after this to see where things are

• £37.34 per hour

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

• A relevant Social Work Qualification
• Adults Services experience as a social worker
• Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
• Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
• 3 Years of referencing
• Driving license with access to a car
