Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults (16-19) with learning and/or mental health disabilities. Supporting everyday tasks, you will support them to be as independent as possible within a safe and encouraging environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for supporting service users
  • Establishing relationships with the service users
  • Assist with daily living activities
  • 1-1 support
  • Carry out and the implementation of care plans
  • Calm and collected in pressurised situations
  • Promote independence

 

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated and resilient
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patience
  • Compassion
  • Previous experience as a support worker within a care environment
  • Able to work a shift pattern on a rolling rota
  • Flexibility with working hours
