Description
Hoop Social Care are looking for support workers in Cardiff to work with adults who have learning disabilities. The new opportunity will involve working within the community as well as a small residential setting. The role will involve some elements of personal care, but your main focus is on promoting independence. This role will involve helping with physical aspects of care within the home and in the community. This is a full time role that would involve day, night (sleep in and waking nights) and weekend work as well as driving the service users vehicle.

Responsibilities: 
  • Monitor, develop and implement care plans
  • Promote equal opportunities 
  • Help service user develop social and personal relationships
  • Act as a role model
  • Opportunity to accompany service users on holidays
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a support worker (desirable)
  • Able to work a shift pattern on a rolling rota - Days, Nights and weekends
  • Willingness to develop yourself and those you support
  • Driving licence (essential)
  • Fantastic communication skills
