Retail Trade Analyst

 

 

Department:      Finance

 

Reports to:      Head of Financial Planning and Analysis

 

 

Candidate Profile

 

  • Qualified Accountant – ICAEW, CIMA or ACCA
  • Experience of working in a complex fast paced environment
  • Experience of reporting, forecasting and analysing trends to support the business in decision making
  • Strong IT Skills including advanced excel and financial modelling with the ability to deal with large volumes of data (preferably in BI)
  • Experience of developing systems, implementing change and using automation to drive efficiency
  • Flexible & diplomatic in approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Forward thinking and a team player

 

 

The Role

 

  • Producing reports for that include the monthly management pack, trade pack and daily sales reports
  • Preparing the annual budget, forecast and latest view
  • Analysing data to determine trends in sales, costs and profitability to assist the leadership team in decision making   
  • Regular performance reviews with the business, reviewing variances, profitability and latest view
  • Analyse & scope new business opportunities within stores & new business partners
  • Ad-hoc trading analysis of promotions / offers
