I am working with a client based in Central Cardiff who are looking for a permanent Junior Finance Business Partner to join their team permanently. Although they would like this person to be office passed ideally at least once a week, they do offer remote working and allow people to have an autonomous schedule.

The role will report directly to the CFO and it is a vital position in the strategical growth of this side of the business. This is a very people focused role and the right person can really use this role to make their mark on the business.


  • Maintain financial records for a client portfolio
  • Control account reconciliation's
  • Recharge are raised and reconciled
  • Monthly financial reports to clients including debtors reporting, revenue analysis, actual vs. forecast
  • Highlight and resolve any discrepancies as part of the financial review process
  • Ensure any issues with payments are highlighted to the relevant teams and resolves quickly and accurately
  • Prepare VAT scheduled for clients
  • Reconcile bank accounts for each client
  • Highlight any areas of streamlining processes which can increase accuracy and relevant for both the external and internal teams
  • Extract, analyse and interpret large volumes of data and present back to the client
  • Understand any issues and risk and how they can impact on the client and the business

Person Specification:

  • Ability to manage your own day and work autonomously
  • Ideally PQ or QBE
  • Resilience is key as this is a new role to the business and it will be a very busy role
  • Ability to hit the ground running as due to the busy nature of the role, they need someone who can make an impact as soon as possible
  • Be customer service focused
  • Experience of extracting data, summarising, and presenting this to non-finance staff / external clients
  • Advanced Excel skills and ideally experience of Microsoft Dynamics or Xero
