Hoop Nursing are looking for a highly experienced, resilient and determined Hospital Director to take the overall responsibility for the operational and clinical management and development of a low-secure hospital in the Blaenau Gwent area.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the service, the deployment of resources used within the service and will be responsible for taking executive lead on emergency planning and preparations including: financial sustainability, development and transition of service.

Responsibilities
  • To take the executive lead on all aspects of the operational and clinical management of the service
  • To provide the Board with operational analysis, information and advice which will assist them in mitigating operational risks, maintaining overall operational control and performance
  • To be responsible for the operational management of the hospitals out of hours, acting as a co-ordinator of services and working with the clinical and Senior Management
  • To work with relevant Directors and direct reports to ensure the control and processes are in place to achieve the governance frameworks for the assurance framework, clinical risk management, clinical negligence, human resources, health and safety and healthcare standards
  • To ensure that professional working relationship are established and maintained with patients, relatives, colleagues, other professionals, statutory authorities/sectors and members of the community
  • To maintain collaborative working relationships and effective communications between all members of the multidisciplinary team, resolving conflict and working with teams to ensure a high standard of co-ordinated patient care
  • To ensure that all personal mandatory training requirements are kept up to date. To maintain current awareness of all relevant policies. Ensure that acquiring competencies and skills for role/self-development are undertaken in a timely and appropriate manner
  • To ensure that all patients are subject to initial and ongoing assessments to determine their individual needs, in order to accurately formulate a Care Plan within the framework of the Care Programme Approach

Essential
  • Must be Registered (Nurse , OT , Psychologist , Social Worker)
  • Must have a leadership/management qualification at degree level
  • Must maintain and evidence CPD
  • Must have working knowledge of legislation concerned with care provision
  • Must have experience in a CAMHS Tier 4 setting
  • Must have working knowledge of the Mental Health Act & Mental Capacity Act
