Hoop Education is currently recruiting for an Additional Learning Needs Teaching Assistant to support schools throughout Haverfordwest in their with their needs.
Have you had previous experience working on a 1:1 basis with ALN pupils?
Do you enjoy working with ALN pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis?Are you an ALN Teaching Assistant searching for a new opportunity in highly reputable ALN settings?
Experience working with young people with ALN is essential
Duties for this post will include:- Previous experience working with ALN pupils on a 1:1 or group bases
- Possess a good understanding of each learning, physical or sensory needs and how the needs may range and differ from each other. Examples of each need may include, ASD, challenging behaviour, complex medical needs
- Work with individuals and groups of pupils in class with ALN, under direction of the class teacher and/or ALNCo
- Provide support in a manner which facilitates the pupils' cognitive development, by removing barriers to learning
- Assisting with care and be well-versed to individual development plans
- Clarifying, modifying, and adapting learning materials in accordance with individual needs
- Modelling positive behaviour and dealing with disruption according to school behaviour policy for ALN pupil
- Promote pupil inclusion throughout the school
- Promote independence skills
Prior to post allocation, each applicant will be asked to provide:- Copies of qualifications relevant to the post
- Education Workforce Council Registration
- Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Right to Work documentation
- Evidence of working within a setting supporting children with ALN
- Interested applications will also be invited to complete a virtual registration interview with one of our specialist education consultants.
