About the Role We’re looking for seasonal Playworkers to join team, supporting the delivery of a variety of open-access Playschemes for one of our valued clients across Newport.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of open-access Playschemes across multiple sites in Newport (daily travel required).
- Create and facilitate engaging, safe, and inclusive indoor and outdoor play experiences.
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team to deliver high-quality play provision.
- Encourage creativity, exploration, and confidence-building through child-led play.
- Contribute to the planning, setup, and organisation of daily activities and ensure the smooth running of sessions.
- Promote and adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, and equality and diversity policies at all times.
- Build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Experience working with children or young people in play, youth work, or care settings.
- Passionate about the value of play in children’s development.
- Able to work flexibly across multiple locations.
- Energetic, creative, and confident in outdoor environments — rain or shine!
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures.
- Experience supporting children with complex or additional needs.
- Driving license and access to a vehicle (to support travel between sites).
- Manual Handling A–F (face-to-face)
- Team Teach Level 2 (face-to-face)
- First Emergency at Work or Paediatric First Aid
- Epilepsy Awareness
- Buccal Midazolam Administration
- Administering Medication
- Enteral Feeding
