Hoop Happiness was designed with our agency staff at the forefront. From our experiences, both as recruiters and as previous agency workers ourselves, we know that agency work can often feel isolated and far removed from any team. Given the pressures of the work you carry out, we recognise the need for you to be better supported and have access to tools to help you feel more fulfilled doing the work you do.

We are breaking the stigma of agency work. We are welcoming our agency workers into the fold, into the office and into our Hoop family.  You aren't just a number to us, you're part of our team.

The objective of Hoop Happiness is as its says on the tin; for our agency workers to feel happy working with Hoop. We want our agency workforce to know they are part of the Hoop family, part of the team and most importantly feel supported to get a better balance and sense of positive wellbeing.

We want to get to know you, understand your values, goals and simply get to know who you are.

How we do this and how much inclusion you want depends on you entirely. There will be multiple opportunities for you to come into the office, participate in activities in aid of our chosen charity LATCH and attend training sessions to better equipped you to deal with the stresses of work, and life.

As always, at Hoop, we appreciate feedback, the good, the bad and the ugly, we want to hear what you have to say. If you have any suggestions for us, please tell us. We can’t promise to action every idea, but we can absolutely promise to review every single one.

We look forward to getting to know you better.

"I am currently a student in the fourth year of secondary school, who got the chance to complete my work experience at Hoop Recruitment. Work experience gives you the chance to go and try something new and see if you like it. This can give you invaluable experience of a job role you could pursue in the future.

Completing my work experience at Hoop, I did a mixture of tasks from Education Recruitment to how to work the coffee machine. I also completed some social media marketing where I used software to create content. I was shown how to use the software by Bethan, who was great, who also gave me feedback for anything that needed improving, I was also shown how to search for CVs by Olivia, who was very helpful, on the Education Team. I also was talked through what HR Recruitment do by Emmy who was lovely. In addition, I was talked through nursing compliance & payroll with Nia who then I interviewed for a schoolwork booklet I had to complete. She was very helpful making sure I understood everything she was going through.

I have learnt several new skills I thought id never learn before I came to Hoop. These skills include:

  • How to design using Canva
  • How to cv search
  • How to geotag

Everyone at Hoop was amazing (except Donna, who is lovely but because she gave me the world’s most stressful tasks). I really loved working with everyone in the office. Thanks to everyone who worked with me!"
