Who am I? A 23 year old Education graduate who decided to join the emotional rollercoaster world of
recruitment. With no knowledge or experience in the sector, I really didn't know what to expect when I
applied for this role.
Fast forward to six months in and I thoroughly love what I do and who I do it with. Don't get me wrong, it
hasn't always been full of smiles and laughter, there have been tough days where it has felt like the world
was against me. Fortunately, I have been working alongside the most genuine and caring people who
have got me through these days and onto the next.
The good days have definitely outweighed the bad. Working in a fast-paced environment with some of
the most driven and passionate colleagues really opened my eyes to what recruitment really was. No
day is the same - which personally, I love. Routine is boring! It also made me realise just how hard the
world of recruitment is. I would be lying if I said I didn't leave the office some days mentally and
emotionally drained - but I wouldn't change a thing.
The last 6 months have been a huge learning curve for me. From working in a different place, in a new
sector with new people, it has developed me in all aspects of my life that I could never have imagined.
One thing is for certain - I could not have done the last 6 months without the help, guidance and genuine
friendship from each and every Hoop member.
Six months in and I am still learning new things every single day. With probation passed and now being a
permanent member at Hoop, I am looking forward to the next 6 months and what it brings for both myself
and the team!
