Hoop Recruitment are looking for an exceptional and passionate individual to work for a highly respected and outstanding client, located in Cardiff. The home provides the highest standard of accommodation and person-centred care and has an excellent reputation, which has been echoed in an outstanding CSSIW report, which details how the home surpasses CSSIW requirements.
 
The client is looking for a Dementia Specialist to join their extraordinary and passionate management team. The ideal candidate will have the skill and experience to act as the dementia consultant in the care, treatment and support of people with dementia, their families, and the staff who support them.
 
The home boasts modern interiors, well-furnished lounges and a large landscaped garden that is fully accessible and secure, maximising independence and choice. The home is run by a professional and experienced staff team who provide the highest standard of care, 24 hours a day.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the in-house consultant on dementia care
  • Coach and mentor staff to deliver the highest standard of care
  • Implement evidenced based solutions
  • Work closely with Nursing Home Manager’s across the organisation, as well as the Learning and Development team
  • Work alongside Marketing Departments to get actively involved with the promotion of nursing services
 
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree level qualification
  • Good understanding of the Health and Social Care sector
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding on dementia care
  • Experience in providing leadership and direction
  • Ability to foster existing relationships and build new ones
  • Act as an ambassador for dementia care in South Wales
